THE LEARNING CAVE
ModuLearn
An indispensable tool. Focus on doing questions - let ModuLearn do the rest.
With ModuLearn, we record every single question that you've submitted to us.

Every question that we give you is broken down into what we call 'skills'. These skills are small bite-sized skills which enable us to effectively diagnose the problems you're facing. Let's look at an example. Suppose you see this question:

Convert 10/7 into a mixed fraction.

It might seem simple. If someone doesn't know how to do this, you simply tell them 7/7 is one whole and after you take out 7/7 you still have 3/7 so it should be 1 3/7.

This might work, but it is insufficient. Because we still have not diagnosed why the student does not know how to do the question!

Is it because the student doesn't understand the concept of 7/7 being a whole? Is it because they cannot understand 3/7 as 3 parts of a whole divided into 7 parts? Is it because the student doesn't understand what a mixed fraction is? Is it because the student doesn't know how to properly represent a mixed fraction?

A seemingly simple question like this is actually a composition of many skills. If we know specifically which skill(s) is/are causing the student to not know how to do this question, we can predict which other questions will be difficult to the student.

It might be easy for questions like the one above. But when questions get tough like in the O/N Level or the A Level Syllabus where every topic is interconnected with others in one way or another, it is incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to keep track of without ModuLearn Tracking.

A common question students like to ask is 'is this difficult?' or 'which is a difficult paper'?
The answer differs from student to student. Without ModuLearn, all tutors will be able to provide is a generic answer that is meaningless to the student. With ModuLearn, we are able to generate a paper that you will find difficult or recommend a paper that is difficult for you.
